Michelle Shumate studies how networks of nonprofit organizations, government agencies and other partners can increase social impact. Her recent work examines systems of care that connect people with public and nonprofit benefits, programs and services.
She is the founding director of Northwestern’s Network for Nonprofit and Social Impact and an associate faculty member at Northwestern's Institute for Policy Research.
